The seed was sown sometime in autumn। The sun was shining brightly then, as if telling him that it wont be able to render services when the cold north winds subdue it। He knew it too, but it had to be done some time. He had tried it last spring. Spring he thought was the ideal time. But the darn sun wasn't as collusive then, and it was helpless too. Soon it would be winter and the snow would set in. He was prepared for the worst, but the seed wasn't. It was a great hazard. Life is a hazard he argued. He watered the area for thirty eight days, added manure to the soil, begged the sun to show mercy and hoped. Hope. Hope was the last thing he had. He never believed in God. May be it was rational, may be it was just his rebellious complexion. Whatever it was his labour brought fruit. The first signs of life appeared on the torrid earth. The green bud sprouted out of the ground in glee. Happiness. It was November now. Time flies, yes it does and soon it would fly to the frosty winter. First green leaf matured with blood gushing into the veins. The sun was shining still. The temperatures were going down by the day. He apprehended the winter but hoped for a miracle. Hope. Yeah, he still had it. And one day a blue flower bloomed. He was astonished. The winter had passed. Rather it hadn't come. He was happy. Delighted. Ecstatic. It was a miracle. Winter didn't come, the sun was shining mirthfully. And the sun kept on shining till one day the flower dried and the plant died and then it rained!!!
